What a great way to kick-off 2018!
Last weekend, our partners, OhmniLabs, were invited to participate in Carnegie Mellon University’s Silicon Valley Artificial Intelligence Summit.
The CMU Summit is an annual event, attracting more than 6000 participants, 600 startups, 100 US and international media outlets, and supported by over 350 high-profile industrial and academia speakers from both US and China.
The Summit is one of the biggest events at the cutting edge of innovation and entrepreneurship. CMU is a well-known private university for its academic achievements in Computer Science, especially AI. CMU is also known for being the incubator of pioneering technologies including Uber driverless car and Adobe. The University is as well associated with numerous Nobel Laureates and Turing Award recipients. The CMU AI Summit 2018 was held in Silicon Valley for the very first time, and we were honoured to be a part of it.
OhmniLabs had a super busy and fun day at the event to showcase our Ohmni robot in action, recruited newly awesome members for our team, and last but not least, compete against more than 60 startups to finally win the Most Innovative Startup Award for OhmniLab's decentralised open robotics platform Kambria!
The judges’ panel composed of 8 judges from reputable VC funds like GGV Capital, NewGen Capital, Yunqi Partners, Boomingstar Ventures, 500 Startups, etc. The Ohmnilabs team received an overwhelming amount of interest from potential partners to participate in the Kambria platform, which is a fantastic validation for to continue their journey in fuelling the robotics economy.
